Jimmy Fallon strikes another win as the new host of The Tonight Show.

Last night on the show, Justin Timberlake joined Fallon for their fifth installment of the History of Rap. The duo put on an amazing performance, singing snippets of 22 classic rap songs from LL Cool J’s “I’m Bad” to Kendrick Lamar’s “Swimming Pools” according to Billboard.

Fallon and Timberlake started the History of Rap back in 2010 on Late Night notes People. Part 1 of the installment started with “Rappers Delight” by The Sugar Hill Gang and included other snippets, from Notorious BIG’s “Juicy” to the self-proclaimed King of the South, TI’s “Live Your Life.”

For part 2 in 2011, Timberlake and Fallon performed a mix featuring songs by DMX, 50 Cent, Nelly, Salt-N-Pepper and of course the duo busted out the Dougie, the most popular record and dance of that year.

Part 3 was a fun mash up of Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Baby Got Back”, Ice Cubes “Today was a Good Day”, The Fugees “Killing Me Softly”, Outkast’s “Sorry Ms. Jackson” and Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass.”

Last March for Part 4, Timberlake joked that it would be the last time for the History of Rap but Fallon responded and reassured fans that it wouldn’t be the end. Part 4 included tracks from 2Live Crew, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Jay Z and Macklemore.

After part 5, I’m waiting see what the two have in store for History of Rap 6.
