Label: E1, Warner Bros. Records
First off, we would like to wish good luck to all the artists on our Artist To Watch. segment: Twenty One Pilots, Derek Luh, DJ Snake, John Newman, Ivy Levan, BANKS, Mark Battles, YG, and Alex & Sierra.
Have you heard of Jake Miller? If you haven’t, you better get used to that name.
Jacob Harris or Jake Miller is a 21-year old rapper from South Florida. Jake started out performing alongside Mac Miller, Flo Rida, Sean Kingston, and Asher Roth in 2011. Not too long after, Jake Miller started releasing music videos on YouTube. His music videos have racked up millions of views and have turned this rapper into a star.
In 2013, Jake signed with E1 Music. With e1, Jake released his EP album ‘The Road Less Traveled’, which debuted at #1 on the iTunes charts. In 2013, Jake signed a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records and has been in the studio ever since, working on his album. Over the past few months, Jake’s social presence has increased substantially.
This rapper’s style is very unique and is unlike anything that’s been heard in the rap industry. We’re excited for Jake’s next studio album to drop, and we’re predicting Jake Miller will be a household name in 2014-2015. “Collide”, “What I Wouldn’t Give” & “A Million Lives” is only the beginning.
We predict Jake Miller will be at Kendrick Lamar’s level of success and attention by this time, May of 2015.
Jake is at the top of our list for a good reason, and we believe there is a huge open window for Jake in the music industry. Billboard chart-topping singles? Grammy awards? Only time will tell, and we’ll be monitoring our #1 Artist To Watch. and keep you updated on Jake’s music.
