A long and painstaking tour has taken its toll on Justin Bieber. This tour has been going on for the last 18 months and on 6 continents. On Monday Justin announced that he is cancelling the remaining dates of his purpose tour due to some “unforeseen circumstances”. Bieber has more than 12 concerts lefts on his Purpose Tour schedule. It includes the performance at Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on 5th of August 2017. He also gave out the tickets to the aforementioned show to the entire audience of Ellen DeGeneres Show.
A source from the tour has been telling that Bieber is currently feeling “Exhausted” and who wouldn’t after running
A tour source tells ET that Bieber is currently “exhausted.”
“This is a guy who has had 150 shows on this tour, on six continents, over the last year and half, and he’s tired,” the source has said. “He needed a break and as much as he didn’t want to disappoint his fans, the best decision for him was to cancel the remaining tour dates.”
A second source has told that Bieber very much had his fans in the back of his mind while making the decision.
“The tour was just really long and he was exhausted,” the source notes. “He doesn’t want to let his fans down but they have always had his back.”
Later on he released a statement on his official website on Monday and thanked his fans. He also released the song “Sorry” which got billions of views. He also said that the refunds to tickets will be available from where the people got the ticket.
“Justin loves his devoted fans and hates to disappoint them,” the statement read. ”
he also thanked his numerous fans also known as “Beliebers” for his great success and experience of the Purpose world tour, which spanned over the last 18 months.
He is really thankful and honored to shared that tour and its wonderful experience with his cast and crew for managing and performing in more than 150 successful shows. They were arranged in 6 continents during his tour.
Nonetheless after considering carefully he decided he will not perform in any further shows.
The purpose tour started off on 9th March 2016 in Seattle. The last show that JB performed in was in London, England July 2nd 2017.
There have been tell-tale signs throughout the tour that he has been struggling. In March 2016 he cancelled the meet and greet on his tour, he also explained that meet and greets leave him drained and unhappy.
“Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression,” he posted on Instagram.
Last October he walked off the stage in front of thousands of fans because they were screaming and booing him. He has been becoming vocal about his dislike of the booing and screaming. Nevertheless, he extended the dates of tour the same month.
