Going through any sort of sexual assault is going to be traumatic, but going through two of them in a row? Well, all I can say is that I hope the two people responsible for this are found and given the proper punishment (preferably life in prison without parole, in my opinion). The police are currently appealing for any witnesses in this disgusting crime. There is a double manhunt currently taking place around the Birmingham area, after a girl was attacked at the Birmingham Witton Rail Station. The 15-year old victim was with her friend walking through the station, until she was led away by an older man; after she was raped, she ran out to the street and tried to flag down a car for help. After getting in a card that she thought she would find help in, she was raped a second time. There were two different attackers, which means this is obviously problematic – another thing to take note of would be the fact that both attackers were of Asian descent. The first attack took place in a secluded part of the station, which was close to the Aston Villa football pitch – it happened in between 7pm and 2am on Tuesday/Wednesday morning.

This is a major investigation, and the British Transport Police (as well as the West Midland Police) are working their hardest to identify both attackers. If you were a witness to this crime, or happen to know anybody who may have been, do not hesitate to contact the authorities. The first attacked was said to be Asian with very light skin, brown eyes and sporting a skinny build. He was around 6ft tall, looked to be in his early 20’s and was wearing a full track-suit (both top and bottom). The second attacker was also said to be Asian, in his early 20’s and around 5 feet and 6 inches in height. He sported a larger build and had a very tightly-kept beard, as well as a blue jumper and black jeans on.

Detective Chief Inspector Tony Fitzpatrick stated: “This was a horrifying ordeal for this young girl and we have specially trained officers supporting her,”. He continued, also stating that “It is now vitally important we investigate exactly what happened on Tuesday morning, as well as identifying both offenders for these awful incidents”.

He also said that you should report and suspicious vehicles that are hanging out around the Witton station, specifically around later times (like 2AM). If you have any information related to these crimes at all, you should contact the police as soon as possible. This is a horrible thing to have happened, especially when we are in such trying times – hopefully the young victim will be able to get through the process and be able to live a normal life once again. If you were around the station and saw two younger girls walking with an older man, you should definitely let the authorities know.
