Warner Bros. and DC Films haven’t been on the page for quite some time now, since Warner Bros. helped DC Extended Universe’s launch and working.

In partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, DC is home to the most popular super hero game franchise in the business—Batman: Arkham. Other DC games include Batman: The Telltale Series, Batman: Arkham Underworld and the much anticipated Injustice 2.

The movie Man of Steel wasn’t exactly the movie they wanted to launch. Big films starring famous stars like Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad (made an impression on its audience with Jared Leto as joker, after Heath Ledger Jared became an epic joker).

Although both of these movie earned a significant amount on the box office $873 m Batman v Superman and $746,100,054 by Suicide Squad they both really struck out with fans.

This summer brings new hope for DCEU fans with a major turning point with the release of Wonder Woman. It is the first movie with female superhero in either DC or Marvel movies. They got relatively untested female director and quite unknown actress to kick start the project. This movie was seen as a risky venture for both DC and WB. Now this risk has proven to be extremely lucrative earning $400 million at domestic box office and $800 million worldwide.

Plan shift with any of these massive franchises, as the money rolls in. This is the same case with Wonder Woman Gal Gadot. This 32 yearold Israeli actress is now being positioned for a much much bigger role in DCEU than she might have had before.

If this keeps up fans might start questioning and their main question will be

Is Wonder Woman becoming Iron Man of DCEU?

Gal Gadot starring in Wonder Woman will be everywhere you look in the DCEU. It might go on at least the next couple of years or may be more

Gal appeared as Wonder Woman for the first time in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Remember Ben Affleck’s sad face meme? let me refresh your memory then

Now getting back to Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman this movie has already hit the cinemas, after the release she will be following that by making a very hip team with Ben Affleck’s Batman, Mr. Khal Drogo also known as Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and the rest of the cast of Justice League in the year 2018. She will be the leading lady of Wonder Woman releasing in 2019and she will be appearing in the Flash movie Flashpoint in the coming years and also Justice League 2.

It is really not that hard to see what the fans are talking about; Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman is now beginning to be dragged around the DCEU the same way Robert Downey Jr. Iron Man in the Marvel movies.

Downey’s character has been featured in both of the first two Avengers films apart from his solo franchise. Iron man has also been picking part-time work anchoring other franchises like Captain America: Civil War. This is a tactic that has been working for quite a while for Marvel. It also seems like Warner Bros. and DC Films are following their footsteps with Wonder Woman.

Heroes and Franchise

This world of massive superhero movie is far far away from exact science – not road runner road but not plausible either. But hey, its a freaking superhero movie

No one in this world ever expected a character like Iron Man (the middle child of a family, Ignored and never considered an important part) to become a prized character of an entire franchise and earning a billion dollars on its own.

The fact cannot be ignored here that when Iron Man was released Robert Downey JR. wasn’t a popular star at that time—he might have starred in a couple of popular movies but that was it.

Jon Favreau was the director who was able to kick off the entire MCU run towards the making of The Avengers.

Once Marvel saw the dollars coming in from Downey and Iron Man movies the studio adjusted their plans like any intelligent businessman—settled disputes and found out ways to send Iron Man to other movies like Captain America to spice things up a bit. This was done instead of launching solo movies. Now DC movies is doing the same.

Let me state a fact that Wonder Woman is The Breakout celebrated star of the DCEU. It has brought in the most cash domestically of any film in the DCEU. This movie has earned more consistently than any other solo superhero movie.

This is by far categorized as the strongest origin story debut ever!

This hasn’t been ignored by DC/WB, it is pretty obvious that Wonder Woman will be the jewel of the crown of movies. It will be pushing the cinematic universe towards more success than it already has.

Of course fans like me are worried about over-saturation. While some like seeing Tony Stark as Iron Man for a billion times over and over again. There are people who find it extremely exhausting and annoying.

I am neither, I like my superheroes balanced with equal parts of milk, cream and sugar – just like my coffee. Well that metaphor sounded reasonable in the shower this morning. Never mind.

Some fans are also wondering and some of them are women (pun intended) that the cash-cow Wonder Woman with the leading lady Gal Gadot will be milked dry. It is also a worrisome thing for people who actually like Wonder Woman franchise.

The fans are also hoping that Flashpoint might offer a different version of Wonder Woman. This will help in adding a little variation. Seems like she is here and she is here to stay. Gal was also crowned Miss Israel. she also served in Israeli army as combat trainer.

Wonder Woman is in theaters now, and will be followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on December 21, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. Justice League 2, The FlashThe BatmanDark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without release dates.
